Would you like to learn about how to build websites, but don’t know where to start? We’re hosting a free workshop to teach women how to build websites from scratch.
It will take place on the 2nd of April at Smat Hub, a coworking space in Florence. The workshop will be held right before a big IT conference: DjangoCon Europe 2017, which gathers a lot of talented programmers from all over the world.
We believe that IT industry will greatly benefit from bringing more women into technology. We want to give you an opportunity to learn how to program and become one of us - female programmers!
Workshops are free of charge and women from all backgrounds are encouraged to apply. You'll work through a tutorial in small groups of three with a coach, so you'll be able to learn at your own pace.
We are trans-inclusive and encourage applications from all women.

Ti piacerebbe imparare come costruire siti ma non sai da che parte iniziare? Organizziamo un workshop gratuito per insegnare alle donne come costruire un sito partendo dalle basi.
Si svolgerà il 2 aprile 2017 presso Smart Hub, spazio di coworking sito in Via Quintino Sella 6/A a Firenze. Il workshop è in pre apertura ad una grande conferenza IT: DjangoCon Europe 2017, che riunisce molti importanti programmatori da tutto il mondo.
Crediamo che l'industria IT trarrà grandi benefici dal portare più donne nel mondo della tecnologia. Vogliamo darti un'opportunità per imparare come programmare e diventare una dei nostri!
I workshop sono gratuiti e le donne provenienti da qualsiasi background sono invitate a partecipare. Vi muoverete in piccoli gruppi coordinate da un coach, così da apprendere secondo il vostro ritmo.

As a workshop attendee you will:

Do I need to know anything about websites or programming?
No! Workshops are for beginners. You don’t need to know anything about it. However, if you have a little bit of technical knowledge (i.e. you know what HTML or CSS are) you still can apply!
I am not living in Italy, can I attend?
Of course! Workshops will be in Italian and english, so if you have no troubles with the languages- you should apply. If you need financial aid to get to Florence or you need assistance with booking flights or hotel - let us know. We are willing to help you!
Should I bring my own laptop?
Yes. We have no hardware, so we expect you to bring your computer with you. It is also important for us that you will take home everything you’ll write and create during workshops.
Do I need to have something installed on my laptop?
It would be helpful to have Django installed before workshops, but wouldn't expect you to install anything on your own.We will make sure that one of our coaches will help you out with this task.
Is DjangoCon Europe good for a total beginner?
As a workshop attendee you will get a 50% discount ticket to DjangoCon Europe - the European conference for Django developers. Even though you are new to programming,conference is a good place to meet many interesting people in the industry and find inspiration.
Is food provided?
Yes. Snacks and lunch will be served during workshops.
Devo possedere conoscenze nell'ambito della programmazione?
No! I workshop sono per principianti. Non hai bisogno di sapere niente sulla materia. Se hai una base in questo senso (ovvero, sai cosa sono HTML e CSS) puoi partecipare comunque!
Non vivo in Italia, posso partecipare?
Certo! I workshop saranno sia in italiano che in inglese, quindi se non hai difficoltà nel parlare e capire la lingua potrai aderire. Se hai bisogno di supporto per la prenotazione del biglietto aereo o per il pernottamento a Firenze facci sapere. Saremo felici di aiutarti.
Devo portare il mio computer?
Sì. Non abbiamo hardware, quindi vorremmo che tu portassi il tuo computer. Per noi è importante che tu porti a casa tutto ciò che hai creato durante il workshop.
Devo installare qualcosa sul mio computer?
Avere Django già installato sul pc prima del workshop sarebbe utile, ma non pretendiamo che installi nulla da sola. Ci assicureremo che uno dei nostri coach ti aiuti con questo task.
La conferenza DjangoCon Europe è adatta ad una principiante?
In qualità di partecipante al workshop hai diritto ad un biglietto scontato del 50% per DjangoCon Europe - la conferenza europea per programmatori Django. Anche se sei una principiante, una conferenza di questo tipo è un buon inizio per conoscere persone interessanti e trovare ispirazione.
È previsto un rinfresco?
Sì, tutti i pasti saranno serviti durante il workshop.
