If you are a woman or person of marginalized gender and you want to learn how to make websites, we have good news for you! We are holding a one-day workshop for beginners!
Join us in San Diego, CA on 9am October 15th, 2022 to get a taste of web development with Python and Django.
We believe that IT industry will greatly benefit from bringing more people of marginalized genders into technology. We want to give you an opportunity to learn how to program and become one of us — women programmers!

Do I need to know anything about websites or programming?
Nope! Workshops are meant for beginners; no prior knowledge needed. Even if you're not a total newbie (i.e. you know what HTML or CSS are) you still can apply!
Am I too young/old to apply?
No! We have no upper or lower age limit for the workshop, though minors need to be accompanied by an adult. We feel that women of any age can be highly motivated to learn and succeed in this field. All applications will be considered according to criteria similar to those described here.
Should I bring my own laptop?
Yes. We have no hardware, so we expect you to bring your computer with you. It is also important for us that you will take home everything you’ll write and create during workshops.
Do I need to have something installed on my laptop?
It would be helpful to have Django installed before the workshop, but we wouldn't expect you to install anything on your own. We will make sure that one of our coaches will help you out with this task.
What is the format of the workshop? What if I have trouble keeping up?
You will work in a small group of just 3 attendees. A coach will be assigned to each group, and your coach will work closely with you throughout the day to help with any problems that you may have. You will work at your own pace, assisted by your coach, so you don't need to worry about keeping up with the entire workshop.
Why are you doing this?
We want to give women a safe space to learn, ask questions, make new friends, and feel supported as they learn something new.
