If you are a woman and want to learn how to make websites, we have good news for you: we are holding a one-day workshop for beginners!

It will take place on July 20th and 21st at Sprint Accelerator in Kansas City, MO.

If you applied for a spot, you should be hearing from us in early June! Questions? Shoot us an email!

Do I need to know anything about websites or programming?

No! Workshops are for beginners. You don’t need to know anything about it. However, if you have a little bit of technical knowledge (i.e. you know what HTML or CSS are) you still can apply!

I don't live in Kansas City, can I attend?

Of course! Groups of women from Omaha and Oklahoma City will be driving in to join us! You can book a room at the Sheraton Crown Center Hotel, which is close to our venue.

Should I bring my own laptop?

Yes. We do not have hardware, so it is necessary that you bring your own computer. Furthermore, it is important that you are able to take home everything you write and create during workshops. If you have problems getting a laptop to bring, please email us at kansascity[at]djangogirls[dot]org and we'll see what we can do.

Do I need to have something installed on my laptop?

It would be helpful to have Django installed before workshops, but we wouldn't expect you to install anything on your own. Join us for the install & pizza party Friday night to get your laptop ready for the workshop!

Is food provided?

Yes. Thanks to our sponsors, snacks and lunch will be served during workshops.
