Django Girls

Would you like to learn about how to build websites, but don’t know where to start? Learning how to code can seem like an impossible task so we’ve decided to put on a workshop to show 60 programming beginners how it can be done and get them excited about the world of technology.

Join us on Saturday 15th September 2018 for a free one-day workshop in Cardiff, where we’ll be giving attendees the chance to learn about programming and to ultimately build their own website. The workshop takes place as part of day one of PyCon UK 2018, a big conference for programmers which gathers a lot of talented people from all over the world.

Django Girls is a crash course that is aimed at total beginners. You don’t need to know anything about programming, we just expect you to bring your own laptop, to be able to commit to the all-day workshop on Saturday 15th September and to have a sufficient understanding of English so you’re able to follow our English tutorial. You will work through the tutorial in a small group of three attendees and one coach so you’ll be able to do it at your own pace. If you’d like to join us, please apply below.

The workshop is free of charge and is part of PyCon UK 2018 . We are happy to be able to offer a free conference ticket to all workshop attendees and we encourage you to make the most of this - it's a fun few days in a wonderful city and you will have the chance to take your programming skills further and be a part of the Python community! PyCon UK 2018 are really keen to make themselves as welcoming, accessible and inclusive as possible - find out more here, so your free ticket option is a great way to get involved.
