We are looking for 30 motivated women who are curious about technology and ready to take their first steps into programming. No previous experience is required.
You should be available on 24th April 2026 and willing to actively participate throughout the day.

As a coach, you will guide a small group of participants (2–3 people) through the Django Girls tutorial. You do not need to be a senior developer patience, encouragement, and willingness to support beginners are key.

Participants are required to bring their own laptop. If you do not have access to one, please indicate this clearly in your application form so we can see how to assist in exceptional cases.
Unfortunately, we do not cover transport, accommodation, or visa expenses. Participants are responsible for arranging their own travel to the venue in Mombasa.
No. Django Girls Mombasa is an in-person event. The exact venue will be communicated to selected participants. If you are unable to attend physically, you can still follow the official Django Girls Tutorial on your own.
Yes. Selected participants will receive installation instructions before the event. Coaches may also organize a pre-event setup session to ensure everyone is ready. Support will be available during the workshop if needed.
Yes. Thanks to our partners and sponsors, snacks and lunch will be provided during the workshop.
You are welcome to apply. However, priority will be given to beginners who have not yet had the opportunity to attend similar workshops.
During the workshop, you will build your first web application using Python, Django, HTML, and CSS. We will follow the official Django Girls open-source tutorial.
