As part of PyCon Africa 2026, Django Girls Kampala is hosting a FREE one-day beginner-friendly programming workshop designed to introduce you to the world of coding in a fun, supportive, and inclusive environment.
At Django Girls Kampala, we believe technology should be accessible to everyone.
Our mission is to empower more women to confidently explore careers and opportunities in technology. Through mentorship, community, and hands-on learning, we aim to show that anyone can learn to code.
Whether you dream of becoming a software developer, data scientist, entrepreneur, or simply want to understand how technology works, this workshop is your first step.

Start the day by meeting fellow participants, volunteers, and coaches over coffee, tea, and light refreshments.
🎤 Welcome Session
Meet the Django Girls Kampala team and learn what to expect throughout the day.
💻 Hands-on Coding Workshop
You'll work in a small group with an experienced coach (2–3 participants per coach) using the famous Django Girls Tutorial.
By the end of the workshop, you'll have built your very first web application using:
