Django Girls Barcelona 2019 postponement announcement It will take place on 19th of October, 2019 in Barcelona.

We believe that IT industry will greatly benefit from bringing more women into technology. We want to give you an opportunity to learn how to program and become one of us - female programmers!

As a workshop attendee you will:

• attend one-day Django workshop during which you will create your first website
• meet like-minded people interested in new technologies
• enjoy local food for snacks (at our expense! ;)
• have fun and be awesome!

• Asistir a un taller de Django de un día durante el cual creará su primer sitio web

• Disfrutar de Refrigerio

Do I need to know anything about websites or programming?

No! Workshop is for beginners. You don’t need to know anything about it. However, if you have a little bit of technical knowledge (i.e. you know what HTML or CSS are) you still can apply!

I do not live in Barcelona,Spain, can I still attend?

Of course! Workshops will be in English and Spanish, so if you have no trouble speaking and understanding either of those languages - you should apply.

Should I bring my own laptop?

Yes. We have no hardware, so we expect you to bring your computer with you. It is also important for us that you will take home everything you’ll write and create during workshops.

Do I need to have something installed on my laptop?

It would be helpful to have Django installed before workshops, but we don't expect you to install anything on your own. We will make sure that one of our coaches helps you out with this task.

I am not woman, Can I go?

Sure! Just keep in mind this workshop is an initiative to motivate women to join STEM. For this reason, we will give priority to them.

Is food provided?

Yes. We will provide snacks and lunch for the day of the workshop.

¿Necesito saber programación?

¡No! El taller es para iniciarte en el mundo del desarrollo web. Sin embargo, si tienes algo de conocimiento técnico previo también eres bienvenida.

No vivo en Barcelona,España, ¿puedo participar igual?

¡Por supuesto! El taller será en Español e Ingles, por lo que si no tiene problemas para hablar y comprender cualquiera de estos idiomas, deberìas presentar tù solicitud.

¿Debería llevar mi notebook?

Si. No contamos con computadoras extra, asi que trae tu compu contigo. Tambien es importante para nosotros que te lleves a casa en esa compu todo lo que vayas a aprender, escribir y crear durante el taller.

¿Necesito algo instalado en mi notebook?

Sería de gran ayuda que traigas todo instalado, pero queremos ayudarte para que no lo hagas sola. Quedate tranquila que cada uno de nuestros coaches estará para ayudarte con eso.

No soy mujer, ¿Puedo ir?

¡Claro! Sólo ten en cuenta que es una iniciativa para acercar a mujeres a la tecnología, por lo tanto se les dará prioridad.

¿Habrá comida?

Contaremos con snacks, para el almuerzo iremos todos juntos a almorzar en un lugar cercano.
