Do I need to know anything about websites or programming?

No! Django girls workshops are for beginners. You don’t need to know anything about it. However, if you have a little bit of technical knowledge (i.e. you know what HTML or CSS are) you still can apply!

I am not living in Aba, can I attend?

Of course! Registration is open to all, however if you live outside Aba, you should be able to cater for your transportation and accomodation costs as we might not be able to do so. In the case where you really want to attend but can't help it due to financial constraints, send us a mail at [email protected] explaining your situation and we would offer help if we can. Note however that financial support is not guaranteed.

Should I bring my own laptop?

Yes. We have no hardware, so we expect you to bring your computer with you. It is also important for us that you will take home everything you’ll write and create during workshops so you can continue practicing afterwards.

Do I need to have something installed on my laptop?

It would be helpful to have Django installed before workshops, but we wouldn't expect you to install anything on your own. We will make sure that one of our coaches will help you out with this task.

Is a Django Girls workshop good for total beginners?

Absolutely!!! Don't let the impostor syndrome hold you back from attending. You would get to meet beginners like you as well as experienced programmers who would guide you through the process of building your first website. You also have a chance to connect with the Tech network that would help you in your coding journey.

Is food provided?

Yes. Thanks to sponsors, food and refreshments would be made available during the workshops to enable you code better.

Be a Coach!

We would be delighted if you would like to join us as a coach! Contact us if you're interested ❤️ and we would get back to you.
